- The Orde Charles Wingate Center of Physical Education Training was founded in 1944.
- In 1969 a 3-year program has been launched at Wingate Academic College.
- In 1983, the College was recognized by The Council for Higher Education as an institute of higher education.
The first Hebrew teacher training institution in Israel, located in Northern Tel Aviv
- Levinsky College of Education was the first academic teacher training institution in Israel to teach all subject matters in Hebrew.
- The college was founded in Neveh Zedek neighborhood of Tel Aviv in 1912 by the Hovevei Zion Movement and was named after Elhanan Leib Levinsky, an avid supporter of Israel and the Hebrew language.
- Levinsky College of Education was recognized by The Council for Higher Education as an institute of higher education in 1982.
